Network Development Manager

Scania North America is a leading provider of industrial, marine, and power generation engines. Globally, Scania also provides solutions and services for sustainable transport, and has close to 2,000 service points with operations in over 100 countries.

 

Network Development Manager

 

The Network Development Representative is responsible to support and develop Scania USA’s Service Support Network to provide the best possible uptime on our products. The role requires a business-oriented mindset combined with a good technical understanding. This position should also be comfortable with administrative duties, follow up service targets, campaigns, implement policies. This role also includes being the overall speaking partner in service network questions for a few or Scania largest customers, OEM’s.

The position is based in San Antonio, TX, with up to 30% travel requirements.

 

Reports To: After Sales Director

 

Responsibilities:

 

Be the interface between Scania USA and the distributor Schedule and organize routine visits to Scania distributors Analyze network performance to identify strengths and weaknesses. Create and implement action plans for continuous network improvement. Ensure that the distributor has routines in place for Service Parts Campaigns Warranty Training Dealer development Ensure that customer requirements and expectations are met, through the provision of quality workmanship. Be the communication interface between the network and global OEM-customers. Assist Distributors with identifying dealer prospects based on Scania’s requirements. Maintain the highest level of professional standards when discussing work with customers, suppliers and colleagues. Comply with Company policies and procedures and mandatory training’s, including the completion of documents and records. Promote and work with the Scania Dealer Operating Standards (DOS) when visiting Distributor and Dealers to ensure uniform quality standards in all areas of the business.

 

 

 

 

Education and/or Experience

 

Technical University engineering degree – desired. Documented experience of diesel engine technology for later model engines. Previous working experience from heavy equipment retail level. Knowledge about trouble shooting engines through computer aided diagnostic systems.

Must be detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills Ability to work independently and under pressure Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with the ability to provide quick resolutions to problems Must possess the ability to actively seek root cause and solutions to problems vs. “quick fixes” Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong presentation skills. Eager to learn all about products and applications.
