ENA drivers are available for all supported operating systems (e.g. Linux, Windows, DPDK, FreeBSD, MacOS, …) and run on the host virtual machine. The Linux, DPDK, and FreeBSD ENA drivers are open-source and available in the official Amazon drivers github and corresponding operating systems’ repositories. The ENA drivers are responsible to manage the interface between the Nitro controller and the virtual instance, manage resources and configurations, and implement various networking enhanced features.
