Barbaricum is seeking a GIS Analyst to support The Network Engagement Training Team (NET), supporting TRADOC G-2 and the Joint Staff, develops and delivers Network Engagement training and Professional Military Education (PME) to audiences from battalion to COCOM level, including military institutions. This role focuses on enhancing understanding of the Operational Environment (OE) and security environment, with a special emphasis on the Information Environment (IE)—its information, physical, and human dimensions. Training is tailored to each unit’s mission, with additional exercise support and on-site mentoring. By improving IE analysis and decision-making, this position helps shape the OE and influence human behavior to achieve strategic objectives.
Responsibilities:
Developing and delivering training on network engagement to Combatant Command service component and Joint Task Force staffs worldwide. Developing and capturing of next-generation analytical methods and relevant procedures that will enable greater situational understanding of human networks in the modern, complex data environment. Provides (Attack the Network) and ANAT (Attack the Network Analysis Tool) instruction to U.S. Department of Defense and foreign partners. Assists DoD units with developing standard procedures for data formatting, meta-network creation, and analysis. Responsible for maintaining communication with unit training coordinators and ensuring training materials are prepared and delivered to the unit. Analyze and develop human network data including collecting social data and automating or semi-automating the process of filtering and sorting the data for import into social network analysis software tools in order to rapidly identify key nodes. Travel up to 30%.Qualifications:
Active DoD Secret is required, TS/SCI clearance is preferred. 4-10 years of experience. Masters degree is preferred.
