The Role:
As an network specialist comfortable working in the hosted infrastructure space (network/systems/databases/private cloud), you will be responsible for supporting a global network critical to supporting our clients' global trading environments.The successful candidate will have a track record in hands on management and support of global enterprise scale network architecture coupled with significant knowledge of technologies, standards, and industry guidelines as they apply to the hosted infrastructure space. Essential will be a can-do operational attitude which will see the successful candidate become part of a growing global operations team.Key Responsibilities:Help drive the team on an AWS / hybrid networking journeyHelp implement our network segmentation and zero trust designsBuild out our AWS networking, and assist moving Networks towards an IaC organisationBuild capability and drive the network team to a data driven organisationProvision of level 3 support for incidents and problem resolutionCreation, maintenance, and review of all operational and technical design documentationTechnical input in support of new business requirements, including creation of technical requirements for third party delivery partnersManaging detailed analysis of network performance statistics using a variety of toolsCreation of test plans and associated change controls in line with operational standardsTest, verify, debug, and deploy devices and configurations according to standardsRaise, technically verify, and implement change control requestsUpdate and audit change management database entries as neededInteract with other team members and other teams to progress projects and incidentsEngagement with the wider global NOC teams using follow-the-sun model to manage visibility of ongoing incidents and service issuesRequired Skills, Qualification and Experience:Experience delivering and working within segmented networks and zero trust architecturesExperience with hybrid (AWS) networked and globally distributed enterprise estatesProven third line support experience in a time-sensitive, high availability customer-facing environmentProven network support and administration experience with strong hands-on experience working with, deploying and supporting BGP, OSPF and IP multicast within large scale enterprise environmentExperience working with and supporting distributed datacenter compute services Ability to support irregular working hours including weekend shift working patternsExcellent troubleshooting/problem solving skills with familiarity with network monitoring, management and diagnostic toolsExcellent oral and written communication skillsExperience one or more of the following vendor platforms (Cisco/Juniper/Arista/PaloAlto/F5)Formal accreditation (CCNA/CCNP / AWS architect / AWS advanced networking or equivalent) a benefitAbout us:
