Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Engineer with a strong focus on Fortinet technologies to join our growing IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our network infrastructure, with a particular emphasis on Fortinet firewalls, switches, and other security solutions. This role requires a proactive individual who can ensure the optimal performance, security, and availability of our network. Responsibilities: + Design, implement, configure, and maintain Fortinet security products, including FortiGate firewalls, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, FortiAnalyzer, and FortiManager. + Perform network troubleshooting and problem resolution on Fortinet and other network devices. + Monitor network performance and security, identifying and addressing potential issues proactively. + Develop and implement network security policies, procedures, and best practices. + Manage VPNs (IPsec, SSL), routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and VLAN configurations. + Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments. + Participate in network capacity planning and expansion projects. + Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. + Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of network services. + Stay up-to-date with the latest Fortinet technologies and industry trends. + Provide technical support and guidance to junior staff as needed. Requirements Required Skills and Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). + Minimum of [X, e.g., 5+] years of experience in network engineering. + Strong, hands-on experience with Fortinet products is essential, including FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, FortiAnalyzer, and FortiManager. + In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, BGP, OSPF). + Experience with network security concepts and best practices (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, access control). + Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools. + Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. + Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points for): + Fortinet NSE Certifications (e.g., NSE 4, NSE 5, NSE 7). + Experience with other network vendor technologies (e.g., Cisco, Juniper). + Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP). + Experience with scripting or automation tools (e.g., Python, Ansible). + Experience in a [specific industry, e.g., highly regulated, enterprise-level] environment.
