Our client is looking for a Network Engineer. This project is going to be consolidating and migrating servers from legacy hyper-V to Vmware vSphere. The ideal candidate must be able to know how to connect EMC SAN to a host, be responsible for building new clusters, and experience in consolidating/upgrading to latest version.
Looking for someone with:
· Experience with Active Directory
· Experience with DNS/DHCP
· Experience with Group Policy
· Experience with Windows 2003 Server
· Experience with Windows 2008 Server
· Experience with the following hardware (HP Proliant servers blades and traditional server)
· Working knowledge of EMC SAN
· Working knowledge of Symantec Netbackup
· Working knowledge of networking (TCP/IP)
· Working knowledge of IIS
· Working knowledge of VMWare / vSphere
· Working knowledge of Hyper-V
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
· Creating Active Directory accounts
· Provide level 3 support
· Monitor and manage backups
· Review, recommend, and resolve any network administration issues
· Manage Active Directory environment
· Fine tune servers to ensure industry best practices and procedures
· Standardize server configuration
· Documentation
