Network Engineer

Rite-Solutions, Inc. is seeking an organized, reliable, and driven Network Engineer to work as part of our field service team to install, troubleshoot, and repair data networks at Naval Undersea Warfare (NUWCDIVNPT) in Newport RI. The engineer will work internally as part of organization's IT support team and externally to provide networking solutions for the organization's clients.\n

Duties and Responsibilities:\n\nInstall all new hardware, systems, and software for networks\nInstall, configure, and maintain network services, equipment and devices\nConfigure \/ software upgrades on routers, switches, and other network hardware\nPlans and supports network and computing infrastructure\nMonitor network performance and troubleshoot problems and outages\nSchedule updates and upgrades\nDocuments network problems and resolution for future reference\n\n

Position Requirements:\n\nAbility to prioritize and multi-task\nPossess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills\nAvailable to work outside of regular working hours and weekends\nAdvance experience with Cisco IOS and deploying Cisco routers\/switches\nMinimum two years' experience with computer hardware installation and repair\nHands-on experiences implementing and administrating network devices - firewalls, routers, VPN and backup applications. \nCertifications - Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)\nCompTIA Security+ or CompTIA CASP\n\n

Additional Requirements:\n\nPosition requires U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance with the US government; active security clearance preferred\nMilitary or government experience preferred but not necessary\nAbility to obtain a US passport, active passport preferred\nTravel required within the United States and Internationally (Bahamas \/ twice a year, up to two weeks at a time)\n\n
