This role combines the responsibilities of managing and designing our network infrastructure with crucial Network Operations Center (NOC) duties to maintain our network’s health during NOC shifts. The position requires travel to UK offices for onsite support and physical intervention when necessary.
This position reports to the Director - Datacenter Operations within the Information Technology department.

ResponsibilitiesInclude, but not limited to:
Network Design and Implementation: Design and implement scalable and reliable network solutions using switches and routers to support our LAN/WAN environments. Provide onsite support for physical installation and configurationNOC Duties: Monitor network performance and swiftly resolve issues using SolarWinds to minimize downtime and maintain network healthProactively address potential network problems by utilizing Sumo Logic for real-time log management and monitoringProvide 24/7 network support on a rotational basis, ensuring network stability and performanceFirewall and Security Management: Deploy and manage Palo Alto NGFW using Panorama for centralized managementAdminister Cisco FTD firewalls through Cisco FMC to ensure robust security across our networkImplement and manage Cisco ISE for effective network access control and policy enforcementManage ClearPass for secure network access and policy managementLoad Balancing and Traffic Management: Configure and maintain F5 load balancers to ensure high availability and optimal performance of applicationsNetwork Monitoring and Management: Use SolarWinds for comprehensive network performance monitoring, fault management, and capacity planningImplement and manage Meraki wireless network devices for seamless cloud-managed networking across various locationsIntegrate and manage network-related tickets and incidents in ServiceNow for efficient IT service managementWireless Network Management: Design, deploy, and manage Cisco WLAN solutions to ensure robust wireless connectivity and user satisfactionSD-WAN Implementation: Design and implement SD-WAN solutions to optimize network performance and reliability across multiple locationsOnsite Support and Physical Intervention: Travel to UK offices to provide hands-on support and physical intervention for tasks such as installing and configuring switches and routers, setting up Meraki wireless access points, and troubleshooting Cisco WLAN hardware issuesQualifications Completed Bachelors Degree or relevant work experience required
CCNA certification5 years of experience deploying and configuring Cisco routers and switchesStrong knowledge of IP networking and the OSI modelExperience configuring and troubleshooting network routing protocols including BGP and OSPFExperience configuring and troubleshooting IPSec VPNs Required Skills Proficient in configuration of network firewallsProficient in configuration of Wi-Fi controllers and access pointsProficient in configuration of Cisco routers and switchesExcellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to follow a structured methodology to solve problemsExcellent teamwork and organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to handle multiple tasksExcellent verbal and written communication skillsDesire and ability to research and study technology to increase knowledge and solve problemsSelf-motivated and possessing the ability to complete tasks and projects when provided with high level requirements

However due to the nature of the role, with its international reach and shared projects, working outside of these hours to service business needs will occur occasionally, and employees are expected to be readily available in these eventualities.
