Network Engineer
**Job Title:** Senior Azure Cloud Network Engineer **Location:** Hybrid in St. Paul, MN **Contract Length:** 2 years, with the possibility for extension or conversion **Project Overview:** We are seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Network Engineer to design, implement, support, maintain, and configure Azure Cloud network infrastructure. This role involves working with network switches, firewalls, load balancers, automation tools, and monitoring systems. Additionally, the position requires documenting designs, support and maintenance procedures, and cross-training current network staff on cloud network tools and technologies. **Key Responsibilities:** + Design, plan, and implement client-specific cloud solutions, including private, public, and hybrid cloud infrastructures, as well as on-premise integrations. + Design and implement network components such as routers, load balancers, switches, and firewalls to ensure robust and secure connectivity. + Develop detailed technical processes and supporting documentation for cloud services, ensuring clarity and accessibility for the team. + Cross-train and mentor current staff on cloud tools and technologies, fostering a knowledgeable and agile team environment. + Collaborate with other cloud engineers to design, automate, and support infrastructure landing zones across various cloud providers. + Work alongside product owners and architects to define technical deliverables based on internal stakeholder needs, utilizing Agile frameworks and processes. + Provide comprehensive knowledge transfer to ensure continuity and understanding of cloud network services within the organization. **Required Qualifications:** + Minimum of five (5) years in cloud network infrastructure design, implementation, and support. + Expert knowledge of TCP/IP, network security, compliance, and best practices. + Proven ability to perform advanced technical issue analysis and troubleshooting within a cloud infrastructure. + Experience migrating legacy applications to cloud environments while adhering to cloud-native standards. + Strong background in network engineering, including experience with Cisco routing and switching, firewalls, load balancing, and DNS. + Cloud networking experience in platforms such as Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, or on-premise cloud solutions. + Strong analytical abilities, along with excellent oral and written communication skills. + Full lifecycle experience with hybrid clouds, including architecture/design, build, and ongoing operational support. + Experience in creating training materials and educating team members and technical stakeholders. **Preferred Certifications:** + Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, Checkpoint, or other relevant network certifications.
