Responsibilities

Design and implement robust network architectures using Google Cloud Networking to ensure high availability and scalability.

Oversee the configuration and management of load balancing solutions to optimize application performance and reliability. Manage and maintain switching and routing infrastructure with Arista and Cisco to ensure seamless network operations. Provide expertise in wireless network design and implementation to support seamless connectivity. Optimize WAN performance using WAN Optimizers to enhance data transfer efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain data models that support business requirements. Ensure network security and compliance with industry standards and regulations particularly in the medical devices domain. Conduct regular network performance assessments and implement improvements to enhance overall network efficiency. Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity. Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation and standard operating procedures. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers to foster professional growth. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve network infrastructure. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into effective network solutions.

Qualifications

Possess in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Google Cloud Networking including design and implementation. Demonstrate expertise in load balancing techniques and tools to ensure optimal application performance. Have extensive experience with switching and routing technologies particularly with Arista and Cisco. Show proficiency in wireless network design and implementation to support seamless connectivity. Exhibit strong skills in WAN optimization to enhance data transfer efficiency. Have a solid understanding of data models and their application in supporting business requirements. Possess domain experience in the medical devices industry ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues. Exhibit excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Show a commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies. Have experience in developing and maintaining network documentation and standard operating procedures. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers. Demonstrate the ability to translate business needs into effective network solutions.

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until 2/28/2025

The annual salary for this position is between 99,000 t0 133,500 yearly depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
