Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Network Engineer in New York. This role falls within the technology industry and will be based in an office environment. As a Network Engineer, you will be tasked with managing Cisco routers and technologies, backup technologies, and computer hardware. Additionally, you will be involved in configuration management and working with Cisco Catalyst Switches, VMware Infrastructure, and VMware. Responsibilities: • Ensure the proper functioning and efficiency of Cisco routers and technologies. • Manage and maintain backup technologies and computer hardware. • Oversee the configuration management process to ensure system stability. • Handle tasks related to Cisco Catalyst Switches and ensure their smooth operation. • Work with VMware Infrastructure and VMware, ensuring they are effectively utilized and maintained. • Ensure network security through the use of technologies such as Cisco ASA and Checkpoint. • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise. • Implement Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) for routing and network stability. • Perform regular checks and updates on network systems to ensure optimal performance. Requirements • Applicant must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience as a Network Engineer. • Proficiency in managing and maintaining Cisco Routers is essential. • The candidate must be skilled in using and troubleshooting various Cisco Technologies. • Knowledge of Backup Technologies is necessary for data protection and recovery. • A strong understanding of Computer Hardware is needed for this role. • The applicant should be adept in Configuration Management to streamline network operations. • Expertise in handling Cisco Catalyst Switches is necessary for efficient network management. • Familiarity with Catalyst Switches is essential for efficient network traffic management. • The candidate should possess experience in managing Vmware Infrastructure. • Proficiency in VMware is crucial for virtual network management.
