Description We’re looking for a Senior Network Engineer to design, deploy, and manage robust network infrastructures in alignment with advanced OT systems and security protocols in the Houston area. This role is a key contributor to ensuring top-tier network performance, cybersecurity, and seamless connectivity at the organizational level. Key Responsibilities + Design, deploy, and maintain reliable network solutions with a focus on both IT and OT environments. + Implement and manage Fortinet security solutions, including FortiGate firewalls, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, and FortiEDR. + Integrate OT systems into corporate IT networks securely and efficiently. + Monitor network performance to optimize uptime and address connectivity challenges proactively. + Develop and enforce network access, security, and disaster recovery policies. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess business needs and propose scalable solutions. + Lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve complex network and security issues effectively. + Stay updated on the latest trends in Operational Technology and Fortinet solutions, ensuring the organization adopts best practices. + Document network configurations, processes, and procedures for auditing and future reference. Requirements Required Qualifications + A minimum of 8 years of experience in network engineering, with an emphasis on both IT and OT environments. + Proficient in Fortinet Suite solutions, including hands-on experience with configuration and management. + Deep understanding of Operational Technology (OT) systems, their integration within IT infrastructures, and associated security considerations. + Expertise in network protocols, firewalls, routing, and switching technologies. + Certifications such as Fortinet NSE 4 or higher, CCNP, or other relevant credentials preferred. + Strong analytical and problem-resolution skills with a proactive mindset. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
