Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Network Engineer in the financial services industry, located in New York. The workplace is a dynamic and fast-paced environment where you will be tasked with maintaining and enhancing network infrastructure across multiple locations. Responsibilities: • Operational support provision for both domestic and international networks. • Spearhead and execute projects of varying scales. • Analyze application requirements and bandwidth consistently, providing suitable recommendations. • Monitor network health conditions consistently and initiate proactive measures to prevent issue escalation. • Deployment, scaling, and automation of our network across multiple global offices/datacenters, including both new and existing locations. • Creation of standard operating procedures, diagrams, and training materials for team use. • Review and execute changes on the network, adhering to the change management process (ITIL). • Act as a key resource for infrastructure and application problem determination and resolution. • Utilize internal monitoring tools to proactively optimize network infrastructure and address issues before they arise. • Demonstrate self-initiative with an ability to function well in a team environment. • Configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting of platforms and technologies, including but not limited to Layer2/3, Firewalls, Routing Protocols, Authentication Protocols, Load Balancer, Network Management, Voice, and Wireless. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. • Proven experience as a Network Engineer in the financial services industry. • Expertise in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP). • Proficiency in using Checkpoint for network security. • Experience with Cisco ASA for firewall setup and management. • Demonstrated ability to work with Cisco Routers. • Strong knowledge of Cisco Technologies overall. • Familiarity with AB Testing for network performance optimization. • Proficiency in using Backup Technologies for data recovery. • Solid understanding of Computer Hardware. • Experience in Configuration Management for network systems. • Knowledge of Datacenter operations and management in a financial services setting.
