Intermediate: + Manages and performs maintenance on existing computer network systems services, including local area networks, wide area networks, intranets, and the Internet. + Provides comprehensive analytical, technical, and administrative support for network operations. + Evaluates communication hardware and software, making recommendations for improvements or upgrades. + Troubleshoots complex LAN/MAN/WAN and other network-related problems independently. + Provides technical expertise for network performance monitoring, optimization, and configuration. + Offers technical leadership in the integration and testing of complex large-scale computer integrated networks. + Develops and maintains detailed network documentation and diagrams. + Implements and manages network security measures and best practices. Senior: + Leads the management and maintenance of existing computer network systems services, including local area networks, wide area networks, intranets, and the Internet. + Provides high-level analytical, technical, and administrative support for network operations. + Evaluates and recommends advanced communication hardware and software solutions to meet organizational needs. + Troubleshoots complex LAN/MAN/WAN and other network-related problems, providing expert-level resolution. + Offers technical expertise for network performance optimization, capacity planning, and configuration management. + Provides technical leadership in the integration and testing of complex large-scale computer integrated networks. + Develops and implements network strategies aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices. + Mentors junior and intermediate network engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation. Subject Matter Expert/SME: + Serves as the ultimate authority on network engineering practices, overseeing and optimizing all aspects of network strategy and implementation. + Manages and performs maintenance on existing computer network systems services, including local area networks, wide area networks, intranets, and the Internet at an expert level. + Provides high-level analytical, technical, and administrative support for complex network operations and strategic initiatives. + Evaluates cutting-edge communication hardware and software, making strategic recommendations for organizational adoption. + Leads troubleshooting efforts for the most complex LAN/MAN/WAN and other network-related problems, providing innovative solutions. + Offers unparalleled technical expertise for network performance optimization, capacity planning, and advanced configuration management. + Provides visionary technical leadership in the integration and testing of complex large-scale computer integrated networks. + Develops and implements forward-thinking network strategies aligned with long-term organizational goals and industry advancements. **Qualifications:** _Required:_ Junior: + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. + 0-3 years of experience in network engineering or related IT roles (equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree) + US Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance, if needed. + Basic understanding of LAN, WAN, and Internet technologies. Familiarity with network protocols and standards (e.g., TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS). + Knowledge of network security principles. + Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. + Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Intermediate: + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. + 3-8 years of experience in network engineering or related IT roles (equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree) + US Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance, if needed. + Strong proficiency in LAN, WAN, and Internet technologies. In-depth knowledge of network protocols and standards (e.g., TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS). + Experience with network security implementation and best practices.
