The responsibilities of Network Engineer may vary depending on level of experience and skills. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Experienced in designing enterprise network technologies. Requires extensive experience with network design of firewalls and related network components within a complex cloud architecture. Ability to communicate technical network and network security concepts to customers, including developers, architects, and managers. Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to improve network architecture. Representing Deloitte's technical, business, and professional values to customers, partners, and peers Work you'll do + Support clients with data protection, IoT, and overarching cloud capabilities. + Implement core and cloud infrastructure security to manage risks and exposure. + Perform cyber reconnaissance to illuminate a potential attack surface area. + Provide threat and vulnerability management to federal clients and teams. + Analyze tactical network architectures and topologies to assess security risks. Qualifications Required: + Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related discipline + Must be a US Citizen + Ability to travel 15%, on average, based on work you do and the clients and the industries/sectors you serve + 5+ years' experience with Cyber infrastructures + Demonstrated ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to wide audiences + Ability to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role + Proficiency in networking practices, including Software-defined Networking (SDN), Network-based Intrusion Prevention Systems (NIPS), and Firewalls. + Experience in cloud networking, complex architectures, and workload security. Preferred: + Prior professional services or federal consulting experience + Previous Security Operations Center experience + Experience in mobile and endpoint security + Certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP) The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $124,000 to $207,000. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
