We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Engineer Senior Level to join our onsite team in San Antonio, TX. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing network systems to meet the operational requirements of the organization. Responsibilities
Design, implement, and manage network systems to meet the operational requirements of the organization. Create detailed network designs aligned with business objectives.Analyze and monitor network traffic to optimize network performance. Make necessary adjustments to enhance efficiency and reliability.Plan and execute hardware and software upgrades to maintain the integrity and performance of network systems. Ensure compatibility and minimal disruption during upgrades.Implement and manage network security measures to protect against unauthorized access, vulnerabilities, and threats. Configure firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for network-related issues. Diagnose and resolve complex network problems to ensure continuous network availability.Continuously monitor network systems to detect and address issues proactively. Use network monitoring tools to track performance metrics and identify potential problems.Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, changes, and processes. Prepare regular reports on network performance, incidents, and changes to inform stakeholders.Conduct capacity planning to ensure network systems can accommodate current and future demands. Make recommendations for infrastructure Work closely with other IT teams, departments, and stakeholders to coordinate network-related activities. Ensure alignment with overall IT and business Ensure network systems comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices. Implement and enforce policies to maintain compliance.Manage relationships with network hardware and software vendors. Coordinate with vendors for support, procurement, and maintenance services.Develop and implement disaster recovery plans for network systems to ensure business continuity in the event of a network failure or other disruptive incidents.Stay updated with the latest network technologies and trends. Propose and implement innovative solutions to improve network infrastructure and services. QualificationsRequired
One or more of the following certifications (IAT II): CCNA-Security CySA+ **GICSPGSECSecurity+ CECNDSSCPSix (6) years of progressive experience demonstrating the required proficiency.Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalency.Public Trust or Secret Clearance EligiblePreferred
Current or past DHA support experience preferredFederal Consulting Industry Experience Preferred#LI-Onsite
