Capabilities:
Evaluate and monitor the performance, security, and reliability of government networks
Conduct regular assessments to identify and address issues related to network efficiency and integrity Use diagnostic tools and techniques to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions to restore network functionality Monitor network traffic and security logs to detect and respond to potential security threats or breachesRespond to network incidents and emergencies, including outages and security breaches Implement corrective actions and follow-up procedures to mitigate impacts and prevent future occurrencesQualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree plus 6 years of relevant experience, or a Doctoral degree and 4 years of relevant experience.
Associate’s degree plus 10 years of relevant experience; or at least 18 semester hours of military coursework/training in networking, computer science, or cyber topics plus 7 years of relevant experience.
Degree must be in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology or related field (e.g., General Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Forensics, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Information Assurance, or Computer Security).
Relevant experience must be working in a security domain (e.g., cyber security, network security, information system security, information assurance, and computer security), programming, systems architecture, vulnerability analysis, reverse engineering, malware analysis, protocol analysis, network analysis, software analysis, debugging, and/or using network security intrusion or computer network diagnostic software utilities (e.g., SNORT and trace-route) Microsoft Networking, Computer Network Administrator (CNA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP), Certified Ethical Hacking, and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certifications are preferred Compensation & Benefits:$146K- $156K/ year Medical, dental, and vision insuranceNon-matching 401K - You enjoy our support without having to contribute to get it!Basic Life and AD&D Insurance provided at no cost to eligible employeesAccess to Chiron’s catalog of self-paced training coursesTwo Paid Time Off (PTO)/Retirement Plan Options10K employee referral bonus program
