By Light is seeking a Network Integration Engineer to provide transport engineering support for all DOD and non-DOD interconnected communication infrastructures located world-wide. The candidate is expected to participate in regular meetings with internal program staff, teammates, and the government client on a frequent basis is expected to deliver client value for the Communications Engineering Division, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), which is responsible for maintaining and posturing the DOD Information Network (DODIN) transport infrastructure and capabilities. Effective leadership and communication skills are essential for working among a blended prime/subcontractor program team and developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
Responsibilities The candidate shall serve as lead project engineer in the planning and implementation of solutions across multiples technologies and platforms in the Defense Information Systems Network (DISN) and provide end-to-end integrated solutions with a proposed implementation strategy.The candidate will leverage subject matter experts from across the contract tasks to provide comprehensive solutions.In support of DISN projects, the candidate shall provide design packages that include topology drawings, trunk/circuit transition plans, equipment lists, and network plans. The candidate shall support the Government leads/engineers through the development and updating of planning documents and models.The candidate shall have demonstrated experience with authoring and updating documentation supporting planning to include:Engineering Guide Documents (EGDs)Network management plansRequirements analysisNetwork traffic analysisEngineering planningNetwork designFinancial analysisNetwork management designAssociated engineering analysisThe candidate shall develop and maintain a product roadmap schedule to capture the dependencies between projects and identify a long term critical path for DoD IT missions. Required Experience/Qualifications 10+ years of network systems engineering experience or related field.Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related fieldExperience with process improvement, strategic planning, change management, and organizational redesign is required.Ability to type, communicate via telephone and sit for extended periods of time.Working knowledge Microsoft Office Tools; specifically, PowerPoint, Word & Excel.Excellent communication, effective leadership, and interpersonal skills. Preferred Experience/Qualifications DoD and/or Government program experience preferredPrior experience working with the Defense Information Systems Network (DISN) or with DISA.Prior experience with Telecommunications Service Orders (TSOs) Special Requirements/Security Clearance

Salary RangeSalary Minimum: $90,000
Salary Maximum: $135,000
The annual base salary provided is a guideline for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
