Network Maintenance Technician

**What's The Role**
**PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS ROLE WILL BE BASED IN THE NORTH EAST (St Mary, Portland & St. Ann)**
Responsible for the operation and maintenance of all Network Systems equipment. Activities include optimizing the telecommunications network, network's performance, and data centers. Provide local support to all stakeholders within the business.
**What You'll Do**
+ Perform preventative maintenance routines on Network Systems equipment using ArcGIS Tool
+ To investigate incidents, execute corrective actions for restoration within SLAs:
+ Joint troubleshooting effort with various stakeholders
+ Update ticket management syste
+ Proactive monitoring of the network and correct faults in accordance with established procedures.
+ Implements authorized service connections in accordance with established procedures.
+ Reviews trunk circuit layouts and office data change requests and implements necessary modifications to hardware or software.
+ Performs commissioning and acceptance testing for network changes
**Knowledge & Experience**
+ Degree in telecommunications, electronics, computer science or equivalent qualifications.
+ At least three (3) years working experience, in the maintenance of telecommunications equipment.
+ Possess a valid driver’s licence (Minimum 3 years & at least 4,000 Kg. laden weight).
+ Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
+ Good interpersonal skills.
+ Power system maintenance and operation.
+ Effective time management skills.
+ Knowledge of digital/electronic/electrical theory and practice
+ Ability to develop new ideas and techniques.
**Skills & Abilities**
+ Good interpersonal and negotiating skill. Proven ability to establish and maintain effective internal and external working relationship and be a great team player
+ Proficiency in oral and written communication with the ability to communicate on behalf of the company in the field
+ Ability to work unsupervised, deal with multiple priority assignments simultaneously and make prudent decisions and operate under pressures of time and work
+ Knowledge of occupational health and safety protocols to include working at heights.
+ Good research and analytical skills to include sound diagnostic and trouble shooting skills
+ Sound knowledge of safety, security and emergency procedures in handling and working with sensitive equipment and in the field
+ Good time management skills to result in timeliness and quality output in all actions
