Network Operations Center Analyst NOC (work hours 0600-1400) - TS/SCI

A successful candidate will perform as a Network Operations Analyst as part of the 3-5 person Day Shift team supporting a 24/7/365 Network Operations and Security Center working on-site at Fort Belvoir, VA.

Responsibilities

Provide day to day monitoring and operations of customer IT networks and enterprise systems to ensure reliability and availability.

Monitor services on all local and wide area networks for optimum operability using a variety of network monitoring tools (e.g. SolarWinds), report outages, and initiate support.

Receives and prepares electronic notifications (E-mail and collaborative messaging) to the command and stakeholders on all unscheduled and scheduled (ASIs) network outages. Follows standard operating procedures to notify users of outages or changes to network and enterprise status.

Gathers information, tracks, logs and documents critical incidents occurring in daily operations using standard formats; provides updates until systems are fully restored.

Maintains and updates customer’s executive communications dashboard via SharePoint portal website.

Conduct daily briefings to INSCOM G6 leadership providing an Operations Status report summarizing data and information on the status of planned and on-going IT System operation activities. Uses professional acumen, exercises discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance, when reporting findings and providing process change recommendations to senior leadership.

Monitors Email traffic, chat channels, logs, and phone calls.

Makes effective and timely decisions

Conducts and participate in daily shift change briefings to oncoming shift.

Work on a team of 3-5 and report directly to a shift lead

Qualifications

Current TOP SECRET clearance w/ SCI eligibility in DISS at time of application.

High School Diploma or GED

Comfortable with public speaking and/or military briefings; able to speak clear and concise.

Basic customer service skills

Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing

Have attention to detail

Experience using Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).

Ability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays .

Ability to travel up to seven (7) days at a time (in rare cases).

Desired Qualifications:

DoD 8570 IAT Level I or II certification (CompTIA A+, Network +, Security +, etc)

Experience working in a network operations center (NOC) environment.

Previous military environment experience, specifically Army or joint-service

Previous intelligence community (IC) experience

Experience working with government/military VIPs

Experience conducting briefings to senior level executives or VIPs.

Experience using Ticketing Systems (Remedy, SCSM, Service Now, Etc.).

Experience using Microsoft SharePoint websites and related products.

Knowledge of Internet, computers, routers, switches, firewall, etc.
