GDIT delivers individual sustainment through collective mission command training, leadership training/development, Warfighter Functions (WFF) training, first person simulations (Gaming), and constructive simulations supported training from Squad through Division levels. Technical integration between simulation and C4I systems. Establish/maintain training and exercise networks. Accomplish Risk Management Framework (RMF) certification and accreditation security and risk management activities.

HOW A NETWORK OPERATIONS SPECIALIST I WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Join a team of Network Operations Specialists in the maintenance of MTC Network Infrastructure in support of simulation operations.Operate and maintain Cisco network equipment to include routers, layer 2/3 switches, Cisco Unified Call Manager (CUCM) and VOIPs; knowledge of Windows server and clients is preferred.Deploy, operate, maintain, implement security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus, and encryption (Taclane).Exercise network protocols, architectures, and security measures like VPN and IDS/IPS.In depth knowledge of networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies.Conducts periodic auditing and compliance checks to assess vulnerabilities of the network and systems.Receive and interpret vulnerability scans to remediate network vulnerabilities.Safeguards the network against unauthorized infiltration, modification, destruction, or disclosure.Performs other duties as required.WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Certification: DoD 8570.01 IAT II certification.Required Experience: 2+ years of related experience; Military and MTC experience preferred.Required Technical Skills: Skilled in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting LAN/WAN infrastructure: router, switch, CUCM, ASA/firewalls, etc.; sub-netting; network configuration management process and procedures; utilization and implementation of network management tools, Solarwinds experience preferred. Familiarity with virtualization: VMware/Hyper-V preferred.Security Clearance Level: SecretRequired Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge: Networking concepts and protocols: OSPF, BGP, etc.; risk management framework (RMF) processes and procedures; sub-netting; VOIP implementation; and common attack vectors on the network layer. Abilities: Install/operate/maintain network infrastructure; operate common network tools e.g., ping, traceroute, nslookup; operate Cisco and Windows command line interfaces; monitor traffic flow across the organization’s LAN/WAN pathways; interpret and prepare network diagrams.Location: Fort Stewart MTC. Normal work schedule is 0730-1600 M-F, may require night, swing or weekend work shifts depending on specific training event requirements.Travel: May require occasional travel (less than 10%).US Citizenship RequiredGDIT IS YOUR PLACE:
