Network Security Administrator | Onsite

The Network and Security Administrator (NSA) role is to help enable the company make their jobs efficient thru technology and to manage and secure the information systems of the company.

The NSA handles the installation, maintenance, monitoring and troubleshooting of all Network and Security Tools including Hardware and Software within the Healthy Options Group Network including the Head Office, all subsidiaries and stores and outsourced services if applicable to ensure its efficiency and availability.

The NS Admin proposes the procurement of Network equipment needed for operations; executes Technical IT projects such as system and network infrastructure deployments, maintenance and rehabilitations; Implements a reliable and highly available system and network architecture that will support current and future business application requirements; Maintains and secure corporate network security

The NS Admin reports to the Technical Services Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Network System Administration

Identifies, designs, acquires and implements a stable, reliable and cost-efficient network infrastructure for the company (Head Office, Stores and all remote sites) including LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) Stays abreast with the emerging and latest technologies on networking to ensure that the infrastructure is up-to-date and sustainable Participates in capacity planning and proposes upgrades on existing network software and equipment (additional bandwidth, additional access points, network switches, etc) as deemed necessary Handles the operations and maintenance of all networking equipment and software including troubleshooting, ensuring all units are up and running and in good working condition Coordinates with external providers such as Telcos to ensure availability of WAN Notifies concerned IT teams and end-users for any problem requiring their attention Prepares progress reports for Network projects Implements and ensures compliance to Network Policies

Security Administration

Designs and implements a highly secured cost-efficient network including LAN, WAN and WLAN Stays abreast with the emerging and latest technologies on security to ensure that the infrastructure is up-to-date, sustainable and secured Stays up-to-date on the latest security threats and risks including infrastructure breach, malwares, viruses, etc Manages all existing security appliances and software including Anti-virus, anti-spam and all other endpoint security, Firewall, etc Manages network, internet access rights based on access matrix Proposes all other measures that may further secure the company including Advance Threat Protection, Security Assessments, Website/ Mobile Penetration Test, etc Helps educate users on security risks and measures Enforces Network Policies and Email and Internet Policies Helps ensure compliance to other IT Security Policies including Office Computing, Mobile Computing and Mobile Storage Device Policy and Data Access Policy; conducts regular audits/ checks of all units Helps ensure compliance to all external regulatory requirements regarding security

Technical Support

Provides first line technical support for Hardware and Infrastructure related issues Provides troubleshooting for computing units such as POS, desktops, laptops, CCTV, AV equipment, Wifi, printers and peripherals and all other IT-related equipment Coordinates with vendors for warranties and repairs and ensures that all IT equipment are covered by maintenance agreement Handles the daily maintenance of Laptops, desktop and other computing peripherals needed for the daily operations Provides technical support for software applications as needed Handle the installation of client-based software applications such as NAV, EPORTAL, etc For Enterprise Resource Planning and POS applications, ensure that data is replicated to and from the target systems Ensure that daily schedules jobs are running provided it has been turned over by the Business systems group after the implementation phase Ensure that all technical requirements needed for the software to run are met including internet connection, IP address assignment if applicable, PC specs (Hard disk space, OS, etc), pre-requisite software (such as SQL, anti-virus), etc
