NVIDIA is seeking a Network Security Engineering Manager to lead a team of security engineers focused on designing and implementing security best practices for our on-premise and cloud access infrastructures. As a manager, you will be responsible for the security posture of NVIDIA's diverse business verticals, ranging from Graphics Drivers and Autonomous Vehicles to Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning frameworks. Your leadership will ensure the seamless deployment and ongoing maintenance of advanced security solutions that protect our cloud and on-prem network infrastructure while enabling business scalability, all while meeting compliance and security requirements.
In this role, you will guide the strategy, design, and operationalization of various security systems such as stateful firewalls, IDS/IPS technologies, vulnerability detection and prevention tools, and more. You will also work closely with other teams across the organization to maintain a robust security environment and drive continuous improvement in security posture.
What You Will Be Doing:
Oversee a team of engineers responsible for implementing, managing, and troubleshooting firewalls across NVIDIA's on-premise and cloud network infrastructures. Provide mentorship, training, and guidance to team members.
Set the strategic direction for security operations, including developing and implementing security guidelines, reviewing security audits, and ensuring that policies are aligned with best practices.
Work with other security and engineering teams to conduct regular security reviews, perform risk assessments, and provide solutions to complex security challenges.
Lead efforts to ensure regular patching and vulnerability management processes are followed to reduce risk and eliminate potential threat vectors.
Drive initiatives to enhance security features such as network visibility, intelligence, and advanced monitoring capabilities. Manage deployments of new security tools and technologies.
Ensure security solutions meet compliance requirements and help develop detailed documentation for network security practices, both for internal teams and external partners.
Lead the response to security incidents, ensure timely resolution, and help maintain the security and integrity of NVIDIA's infrastructure.
What We Need To See:
Consistent track record to lead and mentor a team of security engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
Extensive experience in network security, with deep expertise in cloud and on-premise security standard methodologies, including network segmentation, data encryption, and identity and access management.
Expertise in cloud-based cybersecurity practices across multiple platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI). Familiarity with cloud-native security tools and the deployment of virtualized firewalls.
Strong knowledge of network security principles such as Anti-Bot, Malware/Virus protection, DLP, IDS/IPS, SSL Inspection/Decryption, URL Inspection, and Zero Day defense.
Familiarity with network virtualization technologies like VRFs, VxLAN, and virtualized security deployments in cloud environments.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work multi-functionally with various engineering and security teams to implement complex security strategies and resolve critical issues.
A strong track record with over 7 years of hands-on experience in network security along with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
At least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
Ways to Stand Out from the Crowd:
Expertise in securing large-scale networks, including cloud-native and hybrid environments.
In-depth knowledge of Mellanox/Cumulus OS or similar technologies. Experience with automation tools (Python, Shell scripting, frameworks, dashboards) to streamline security operations.
A passion for continuous innovation and improving security infrastructure using innovative technologies.
