The Global Security (GS) organization of which the Global Security Operation Center (GSOC) is part, is responsible for the protection and defense of CGI members, assets and data using logging, monitoring, SIEM/SOAR, endpoint security and other advanced on-prem and cloud technologies. As a member of the GSOC team, the Network Security Specialist will be working as a Network Security Subject Matter Expert and will be responsible for implementing and maintaining network security controls with modern technologies like CASB, SASE, ZTNA, SD-WAN to provide CGI partners with a secure way of working from home, the office or a customer location.
Your future duties and responsibilities:The Network Security Specialist is responsible for any or all the following activities:
Operations and Maintenance
• Configuration, deployment, and support of client security infrastructure components, including Fortinet suite technologies such as FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager, FortiAuthenticator, and FortiSandbox.
• Provide technical support and maintenance for this complex environment comprised of enterprise-class security services.
• Troubleshooting and resolution of incidents, in collaboration with teammates as required.
• Develop and evolve process and standard operating procedures for new and existing managed security service offerings.
• Work effectively on several concurrent client and/or internal initiatives.
• Perform validation testing as part of the transition of the security solution into production.
• Transfer knowledge to colleagues via delivery of training courses and clear concise documentation.
• Provide input to reference architectures/designs and implementation plans for managed security solutions; may produce designs for less complex solutions.
• Document all custom configurations and maintain technical documentation.
• Maintain awareness of trends in regulatory, technology, and operational requirements.
• Ensure all planned changes are managed using Change Management best practices.
• Ensure compliance with CGI Global Security standards.
The candidate should be passionate about Network Security, love to solve technical challenges and be on the bleeding edge of technology. This member should also be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of infrastructure operations and in-depth knowledge and experience around Network Security Solution and technologies.

Education and Certifications
• Degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Network/Systems/Software Engineering is required.
• Relevant Network Security Certifications are highly desirable example
o CompTIA Security+ certification.
o Fortinet Certifications (FCA, FCP, FCSS, FCX)
The ideal candidate should have expertise and strong experience (5+ years) with some of the following areas (but not limited).
Experience / Expertise
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and/or relevant work experience.
• Relevant Network Security experience.
• Fortinet suite technologies like FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager, FortiAuthenticator, and FortiSandbox.
• Strong knowledge of various network and security technologies including Intrusion Prevention/Detection (Network, Wireless, and Host), VPN, Firewalls, NG-FWs, F5 WAF
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols.
• Knowledge of Linux/UNIX-based devices; administration, configuration including cluster architectures, and security concepts.
Skills:
• Strong troubleshooting, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to speak and communicate clearly and effectively.
• Ability to write clear and concise technical documentation.
• Team player, good time-management and organizational skills, and ability to work autonomously in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to deal with aggressive timelines and the associated pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with additional Fortinet products and solutions.
• Advanced certifications in network security.
• Experience with Cisco SASE.
• SDWAN appliances, SDWAN fabric and edge.
• Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
