Responsibilities: + Plan, design, and integrate network systems into the client's network. + Maintain network and file servers. + Provide technical support and innovative solutions for network systems. + Supervise professional, technical staff, and/or students. Essential Functions: + Oversee daily network operations, including hardware/software support and training. + Maintain network documentation and ensure data security. + Install, support, and maintain physical and virtual network servers and appliances. + Troubleshoot network issues and maintain AD, Exchange, and VMware clusters. + Develop and implement network support and archiving procedures. + Perform and recommend server backup procedures. + Maintain and configure Network Storage (SAN). + Coordinate local campus network application services. + Provide technical advice to system and campus administrators. + Supervise and review work of professional, technical staff, and/or students. + Stay updated on relevant technology and systems. + Assist in designing and updating telecommunications systems, including VOIP. + Participate in strategic planning for campus network services. + Recommend network acquisitions with cost estimates. + Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree with 6 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 4 years of relevant experience. Skills and Abilities: + Knowledge of current networking technologies. + Ability to develop, install, maintain, and repair network systems and servers. + Communicate technical information to non-technical personnel. + Knowledge of VMware, Exchange, AD, and Linux. + Prioritize and manage multiple projects in a deadline-oriented environment. + Identify and resolve network issues. + Strong interpersonal and communication skills. + Commitment to customer service. + Self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility. + Foster a cooperative work environment. + Supervise and train employees. + Attention to detail and confidentiality. + Familiar with ITIL practices.
