Network Support Tech Lvl II

The position requires the capacity to successfully manage multiple competing objectives and to communicate complex technical information in understandable terms to management, end user personnel, and physicians. The individual will be responsible for facilitating and promoting the use of information technology by management, and staff members.

Will participate in IT projects, especially those impacting the installation of new infrastructure elements. Functions as an advanced specialist performing the more complex hardware and software setup and installations of local area network (LANs),  servers cable concentrators, routers, various personal computers (PC's) and electronic mail (E-Mail) networks. Assists with LAN and/or E-Mail training to end-users.


EDUCATION

Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college with major course-work in computer science or a related field and two years' professional experience in management information systems.

Preferably two years of formal technical computer training at the college/technical school level.

Requires ability to train others in the utilization of software and all computer hardware.

Requires extensive knowledge of all network topologies and protocols currently in use at MMC.
