Overview AMERISAFE is seeking a detail-oriented, productivity driven professional to add to our “Excellence Team” based in DeRidder, La. This non-exempt position will have responsibility within the IT department for maintaining network and telecom availability and security, and supporting projects established by the IT infrastructure manager. The network technician will assist in the operations, maintenance, support and related reporting for all company network and telecom components to include servers, routers, switches, cabling and end-user equipment. The network technician will assist in the operations and configuration of end point security components. This position will work closely with other members of the IT department including PC/Helpdesk technicians, network and system administrators, and application development staff. Upon an offer and acceptance of employment with AMERISAFE, you will be required to complete our pre-employment screening, which includes a criminal background check, a 10-panel drug test and, if applicable, a review of your motor vehicle report. A 10-panel drug test includes amphetamine/methamphetamine, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, cocaine metabolite (BZE), marijuana metabolite (THCA), methadone, methaqualone, codeine/morphine, phencyclidine, propoxyphene.
