As an IT Networking Specialist (Lead), you’ll bring experience of working in a modern ITIL-based IT service organization including incident, problem and change management, managing a complex, global multi-site IT infrastructure with excellent written and verbal skills including the ability to convey technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Accountable for the development of network architecture and design, establish network standards, platforms and protocols for each UM location. Must align the global strategy on network standardization and site to site connectivity, complete ownership of the SD-WAN succession planning and implementation.

Establish network monitoring for utilization and availability reporting to senior leadership. Establish best practice log and event management for incident response and cyber threat compliance.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Ensure the operational integrity of Ultra Maritime's security and data networks.Optimise the network infrastructure, focusing on reducing complexity, technical debt and improving performance.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy solutions that meet evolving business needs.Guide and support team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement without network engineering team.Monitoring and Metering of networking componentsManagement and Maintenance of networking components to adhere to cyber security requirements, patch management and firmware upgrades.Be responsive to incidents and alerts, providing out of hours technical support when needed.

Qualifications:

Ability to obtain a US Government Security Clearance. Clearances are granted to US Citizens.At least five years of Cisco administration experience, supporting medium to large network environments with at least 500+ servers.Five years' experience in Cisco ASA/Firepower firewall administrationVersatile experience working in diverse environments, demonstrating adaptability and problem-solving skills across different network setups and architectures.Strong teamwork and organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to handle and lead multiple tasks.Excellent understanding of layer 2 and 3 technologies, strong understanding of networking fundamentals, routing protocols, MPLS, TCP/IP, QoS, BGP, and EIGRPFamiliarity with Cisco DNA, Cisco VPN solutions, WAN implementation and optimization technology, security standards and best practices, and network troubleshootingCCNP or ITIL foundation certification is preferred.Excellent time management skills and the ability to balance high-quality work standards against time constraints.Provide guidance and coaching.
