Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems has an opportunity in Colorado Springs, CO as a member of the Command, Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) National Team.
THE WORK
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Networks Systems Engineer (SE) to serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the Network Enterprise Systems (NES) Agile Release Train (ART). As a Networks SE, you will develop and implement the Network Systems Engineering Plan, advise on systems engineering related issues, and act as a liaison between the Networks ART and the Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) Resource Managed Area (RMA).
The key responsibilities include:
-Developing and implementing the Network Systems Engineering Plan
-Leading network requirements activities, including identification, management, and traceability
-Acting as a liaison between the Networks ART and Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) teams
-Supporting systems engineering and architecture meetings with internal teams and government customers
-Developing and reviewing system engineering artifacts, such as specifications and interface control documents
-Creating interface documentation, diagrams, and architectural documentation
-Implementing standards and patterns to ensure quality and consistency of deliverables
-Establishing and maintaining the Networks Systems Engineering model
-Providing mentoring to team members on systems engineering processes and procedures
-Supporting proposal efforts and generating engineering estimates
-The Networks SE will work closely with internal teams, management, and government customers to ensure high-quality products are delivered on-time and within available resources. The role requires strong technical expertise, leadership, and communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and ensure consistency of system engineering principles and practices.

Basic Qualifications:
- A final Secret Clearance is required prior to starting
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
- DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certification is required within 60 days of starting.
- In-depth understanding of systems engineering process and principles.
- Proven track record of successfully applying system engineering principles to develop product solutions.
- Experience working in an integrated team environment with other systems, software, and specialty engineers to develop solutions.
- Experience developing system engineering artifacts (e.g. specifications, Interface Control Documents, Use Cases, System Architecture Descriptions, Trade Studies, etc.).
- Candidates should have experience with developing large, complex systems.
- Network engineering experience
Desired Skills:
- Prior C2BMC experience
- Experience working within an Agile development environment
- Domain experience with Space and Missile Defense
- Experience with Systems Analysis, Model Based System Engineering, Architecture development, Virtualization, Containerization, and Cloud Computing principles
- Demonstrated experience working large multi-site software development efforts including external interface development
- Demonstrated experience conducting or leading Analysis of Alternatives, Trade Studies and/or Design Evaluations.
- Experience designing large command and control and/or weapon systems
- Experience in model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and MBSE tools
- Excellent communications skills are required (written and oral) as is the ability to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $82,200 - $157,500. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
