Summary

MOFFITT CANCER CENTER FACULTY POSITION:  NEURO RADIOLOGIST

 

Moffitt Cancer Center’s Department of Diagnostic Imaging & Interventional Radiology invites applications for a faculty appointment in the Neuro Imaging Division. Our preferred candidate is an academically accomplished neuroradiology physician for a leadership position in our large and growing section which includes both diagnostic and therapeutic responsibilities. We are a hybrid academic practice affiliated with the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine with university appointments available. Our faculty serve as core members for the USF Health Department of Radiology Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology residency programs and are eligible for academic appointments at the University of South Florida College of Medicine.

 

Moffitt’s Department of Diagnostic Imaging & Interventional Radiology currently includes 60 clinical faculty members. A variety of research and teaching opportunities are available. All investigator-initiated clinical trials at Moffitt include a radiologist as co-investigator. The Imaging Research program receives about $7 million per year in NIH funding and includes 1400 sq. ft. of wet lab space, a full animal imaging suite, and sophisticated image analytic and mathematical modeling capabilities. Dedicated academic time is provided and PhD-level scientists are employed by the department to assist the clinical faculty in their research efforts.

 

Applicants must have an M.D. Degree, a Florida medical license or be eligible for one, and board certified in diagnostic radiology with certificate of added qualification in Neuroradiology. Applicants must also have successfully completed a sub-specialty fellowship training.

 

The rapidly expanding Diagnostic Imaging Division section operates 10 CT, 11 MRI, 4 PET/CT, 4 SPECT/CT, 4 Gamma Cameras, along with a robust Radionuclide Therapy Program. Faculty members from the section participate in 17 disease-focused multidisciplinary clinical conferences each week. A large number of research and teaching opportunities are available.
