PURPOSE OF POSITION

    To provide quality and continuity of care by outlining the Technologists' responsibilities while performing and caring for patients during  Neurodiagnostic testing.

RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS

Performs assessment as defined by unit specific policy. Performs technical component of Electroencephalogram. Performs technical component of Evoked Potentials. Performs technical component of Transcranial Dopplers. Provides extended video EEG monitoring specific to neonatal hypothermic protocol. Performs duties assigned and consistent with the Missions, Vision, and Values of the Aultman Health Foundation. Provides support during Electromyogram/Nerve Conduction testing by assisting the physician during procedures. Completes necessary documentation including networking and managing patient data information.  

Job Requirements

High school diploma recommended prerequisite courses in anatomy and physiology, medical terminology. Minimum of 6 months "on-the-job-training" or graduate of an Electroneurodiagnostic Technology program accredited by the committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation. Keyboarding/computer skills preferred. Ability to meet and interact with the public in a mature, courteous, and professional manner. Ability to push equipment frequently onto elevators into patient care areas. Evidence of good health infrequent absenteeism.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

7:00-4:00 M-F or hours as required by the job. Occasional weekends and off -shifts on- call rotation. Subject to frequent interruptions and changes in priority of duties throughout the day. Sitting/standing/moving about during working hours
