Position Summary:

Performs electroneurodiagnostic tests.  Performs standard and complex electroencephalograms, evoked potentials,  nerve conduction studies and specialized monitoring procedures.  Provides education to patients and their families  concerning neurodiagnostic testing. The position Assists physicians in the diagnosis of diseases and disorders of the  brain, central nervous system and peripheral nervous system.   


Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities:

Perform accurate standard and complex EEG recordings at the bedside and in the laboratory on a routine, emergency  and on‐call basis to adolescent, adult and elderly patientsPerforms evoked potentials and  nerve conduction studiesPerforms  specialized monitoring procedures which may include but not limited to: Epilespsy monitoring,  Intraoperative monitoring EEG, Electrocorticography, Awake Craniotomy, Wada testing, brain mapping, transcranial  DopplerAttend all hospital required in‐services, adhere to departmental and hospital policies and procedures, Participates in  hospital and departmental goals and objectivesAssist with delivering reports and transporting patients to and from the laboratory, as needed as well as any other job  related duties as assigned Enhance professional growth and development through educational programs, current literature, Workshops and  conferences
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: 

Education and Licensure: 

High School Diploma/GED  Successful completion of an educational program for  Neurodiagnostics (EEG) by an accredited program or on the job  training preferred  CPR/BLS Certification   

Minimum Experience: 

Two (2) years of experience1 registry (i.e. R EEG T, R  LTM, R EP T) within one (1) year of hire.
