Summary of Essential Duties: The Neurodiagnostic Technologist III (IOM Tech) works closely with the Neurophysiologist during the surgical procedures to monitor and assess the functional integrity of the peripheral and/or central nervous system during vascular, orthopedic, and other neurosurgical procedures. The technologist must be able to work independently utilizing a variety of sophisticated instrumentation and applies valid clinical judgment in the performance of clinical neurophysiology procedures. + Perform routine neurodiagnostics including but not limited to Somoatosensory Evoked Potential (SSEPs), Brainstem Auditory Evoked Potential (BAER), Transcranial Motors (TcMEP), Train of 4 (TO4), Electromyography (EMG), Triggered EMG, and Electroencephalogram (EEG). Comfortable performing multimodal monitoring including but not limited to complex spine, brain/brainstem, and vascular surgeries. + Assists with department projects including but not limited to research, database maintenance, and quality assurance. The technologist may be asked to head projects, taking a lead role in the maintenance and completion of neurophysiology task that aid the lab and/or the scientific community. + Prepare rooms before and after studies and/or procedures.
