Responsibilities
A Neurophysiology Technologist is responsible for providing accurate, high quality Neurodiagnostic testing. Incumbent must meet competency requirements for Electroencephalography (EEG), EMG, including Nerve Conduction Studies/Evoked Potentials/QST, Autonomic studies, or IOM cases in order to perform simple IOM cases with the potential to progress to more complex cases. This position may be required to provide on-call support and work at either Mayo Clinic in Arizona Phoenix or Scottsdale locations. Employee may be required to participate in the EEG or IOM call rotation.
This Neuro Tech position will support the inpatient EEG Laboratory and Epilepsy Monitoring Unit in the Phoenix campus providing EEGs and Long-Term Monitoring procedures to all inpatient care areas. Position can be filled by a Tech I, II or III.

Qualifications
High school diploma or GED and completion of Mayo Clinic’s Neurotech Trainee program; Or, Formal NDT education and a minimum of one (1) year of Neurodiagnostics experience, which includes previous clinical experience while attending a CAAHEP accredited NDT program or formal NTD education program; Or, Graduate from a CAAHEP accredited NDT program, and a minimum of one (1) year of Neurodiagnostics experience, which may include previous clinical experience while attending a CAAHEP accredited NDT program or formal NTD education program; Or, Associate’s degree in Neurodiagnostics from an accredited college or university and a minimum of one (1) year of Neurodiagnostics experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span.
Demonstrated ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and appropriately interpret information relative to the patient's age-specific needs.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification is required upon hire and must be valid for 90 days or greater from start date. Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) Competency.
Must be registered in one of the following based upon scope of work: REEGT, RNCST, or CAP.
For Associate’s degree candidates or formally educated candidates, designated registration must be obtained within 24 months from date of hire.
