**Job Description**
**Torrance Memorial Medical Center (TMMC)** is seeking a highly skilled and motivated **Neurohospitalist** to join our team providing expert inpatient care for patients with complex neurological conditions at the Comprehensive Stroke Center in the South Bay area of Los Angeles County. The successful candidate will have expertise managing stroke, seizure disorders, intracranial hemorrhage, meningitis, and other acute neurological conditions.
This position requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including neurosurgery, infectious disease, oncology, hematology, and critical care specialists. The role follows a one-week-on, one-week-off schedule with 24-hour shifts, including remote on-call responsibilities during off-hours for the Emergency Department, Floor/Rapid Response Nurses, and tele-stroke services.
**Additional Responsibilities:**
+ Provide general neurology consultations covering a broad spectrum of diseases such as myasthenia gravis, multiple sclerosis, neurodegenerative diseases, optic neuritis, neuro-ophthalmology, autoimmune and paraneoplastic syndromes, gait disorders, neuropathy, functional neurological disorders, myelopathy, headaches, and neurological symptoms related to systemic disease.
+ Perform lumbar punctures, brain death exams, and contribute to neuroprognostication.
+ Independently review CT scans and MRIs of the brain and blood vessels to assess conditions such as stroke, intracranial hemorrhage, and inflammatory disease.
+ Provide remote on-call coverage during off-hours for neurology consultations in the Emergency Department and outpatient clinic.
+ A few nights per month, perform tele-stroke call for Torrance Memorial and Marina Del Rey, while simultaneously staffing overnight stroke codes at Cedars-Sinai Main Campus.
+ Work closely with ICU teams for neuroprognostication, end-of-life decision-making, and critical care management.
+ Supervise the nurse practitioner on the team and provide educational guidance for fellows in neurology.
+ Contribute to the development of neurological treatment protocols, care management standards, and performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.

**Qualifications**
**Qualifications:**
+ Medical Degree from an accredited medical school
+ Board Certification or eligibility for certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) and Vascular Neurology BC/BE, Neurocritical Care, BC/BE, or recognized equivalent such as a Neurohospitalist Fellowship.
+ Unrestricted California license as Physician
+ CSMC Medical Staff Membership
+ Commitment to developing and fostering a multidisciplinary collaborative approach to patient care.
+ Demonstrated competence in continuous quality improvement processes.
+ Evidence of exceptional academic, clinical, and professional accomplishment.
+ A track record of excellence in teaching, patient care and administration
+ Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and computer competency comprised of a working knowledge of operating systems that sufficiently provides for access to patient records and communication with colleagues across the network hospitals.
**Our compensation philosophy:**
We offer competitive total compensation that includes pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including knowledge/skills; relevant experience and training; education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role. We also offer a comprehensive faculty benefits package.
Pay Range: $357,400 - $499,800 total cash compensation.
