The Inova Fairfax Medical Campus (IFMC) is recruiting a Neurocritical Care Intensivist to join our rapidly expanding team in the Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (NSICU).
The prospective candidate will join a collaborative team of more than 30 specialized intensivists, including currently seven neurointensivists in the Medical Critical Care Service at IFMC. A full-time-employment consists of thirteen(13) 12-hour shifts per month. The incoming neurointensivist, along with critical care advance practice providers (PA/NP), will primarily cover an 18-bed state-of-the-art closed NSICU and a 12-bed intermediate care unit and work closely with neurosurgeons, interventional neuroradiologists, critical care medicine, and vascular and general neurologists. We also provide neurocritical care consultations and support throughout the Inova Health System. Post-ICU care is supported by a hospitalist team, including a subspecialty hospitalist service for neurologic diseases and injuries. This is a clinical appointment, but incoming candidates are eligible to hold an academic affiliation with University of Virginia.
Inova is consistently ranked a national healthcare leader in safety, quality and patient experience. We are also proud to be consistently recognized as a top employer in both the D.C. metro area and the nation.
