Neurology and neurosurgery intern

If you are a current Linnaeus Associate, you will need to apply internally. In order to do this, please contact our Talent Acquisition team (details can be found via The Link) and someone will be in touch to discuss and progress your application.

Eastcott Referrals is delighted to offer a one-year discipline-specific internship position for candidates who are interested in advancing their career in the field of veterinary neurology and neurosurgery. It is anticipated that completion of the internship will put the successful candidate in a strong position to apply for residencies.

To support our aim of providing the highest level of clinical training, the intern will assist our senior neurology team, consisting of three ECVN Diplomates, two dedicated service nurses and a patient care assistant. We expect the intern to both facilitate case flow through the service and have primary responsibility for referred cases under direct supervision. Interns will participate in neurology rounds, teaching seminars and journal clubs, and will have access to a range of Linnaeus-wide training opportunities including CPD provided by senior members of staff. We also encourage participation in a clinical research project for publication.

Completion of a 12-month rotating internship is required, along with excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, eligibility to work in the UK, and membership of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. The anticipated starting date for the internship is July 2025.
