At Howden, we provide plenty of room for professional development. While previous insurance experience is not required, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, as well as strong communication skills, are important. Please note this is a full-time, permanent opportunity. You will be based in our Croydon office and ideally be onsite for 2 days per week on average. During training you will be required to come into the office Monday to Friday.
Overview:
Assist in achieving new business targets through converting incoming warm leads and self-generated lead work
Reviewing client documentation to make sure that information presented is sufficiently comprehensive and accurate to support our quoting process
Collating and communicating client requirements to ensure appropriate marketing of risks
Preparing and supporting on the review of market presentations
Being a friendly face for our clients, helping resolve their queries wherever possible
Knowledge:
A minimum of 1 year sales experience (preferably New Business) and be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of sales and client service.
Skills:
Customer focused approach, with prior experience gained within a telephony-based service role
Accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to process work quickly and efficiently
Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
Good literacy and numeracy
Qualifications:
5 GCSE A*-C including Maths and English
A level (desirable)
Cert CII (desirable)
