Essential Functions:
This position is responsible for the following tasks, duties, and responsibilities:
Business Development – Using a “Hunter” mentality, develop leads, gives product demonstrations, and presents solutions to customer and/or end user. Qualify opportunities to ensure accuracy of RFQ’s, quotes and orders as we strive to exceed customer expectations. Sales Performance – Achieve individual sales growth contributing to the budgeted sales goals. New Account Development – Grow relationships and business with new customers working with engineering, quality, operations, and purchasing. Technical proficiency – Maintain working knowledge of products/services relating to T.O. Plastics. New Business On-Boarding Process – Manage new opportunities both internally and externally to meet customer expectations. Teamwork – Collaborate with customer service, engineering, quality, project management and / or operational teams to ensure successful new product development launch and all sales service requirements are met. Customer Service – Respond to customer concerns and apply independent decision making while striving for first-time resolutions on all client problems/issues. Sales Excellence – Strong CRM experience where the tool is leveraged to manage all customer interactions and follow internal business process. Key Performance Management – Manage business/opportunities around key performance indicators and communicate successes and improvements as necessary. Identify and report any unsafe work conditions, behaviors, or incidents. Follow and adhere to all safety procedures. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor/manager.
Education, Experience, & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree or 10 + years business development experience in a technical environment will also be considered. Thermoformed packaging and /or injection molded plastics packaging to OEM’s and related businesses experience (preferred). Medical device industry experience (preferred). Technical/Engineering aptitude (preferred). Detail oriented, able to follow through effectively, disciplined in time-management. Demonstrates a strong work ethic, flexible with work hours, responsive to customer needs and willing to be available when necessary. Strong written and oral communications skills with the ability to present at multiple levels in an organization. Active listener with the ability to effectively document and retain key information. Able to build and maintain trust and reliability with customers. Tenacious, driven self-starter who is able to manage differing points of view and is professionally persistent. Excellent influencer- can sell something new, shift paradigms, and effectively convey T.O. Plastic’s value proposition. Valid driver’s license.

This position may require periodic walking trips through the manufacturing facility where decibel levels are considered noisy, but safe (personal protective equipment provided as required). Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment consistently and correctly. This may include wearing safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, other safety equipment as designated, and adhering to the safety dress code. Onsite office environments are controlled and well-lit and pose few physical hazards. This position is considered sedentary work which involves sitting most of the time with only occasional need to walk to stand. May be required to exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Visual acuity, manual dexterity, and hand function may be required to complete data entry, use technology, and complete other administrative tasks as Approximately 40-50% of time is used for travel (domestic air and/or driving) to meet with customers generating new business and managing existing accounts.
