New Business Development Manager Electrification
Position Summary
As the New Business Development (NBD) Manager Electrification, you will be responsible for driving battery sales by building relationships with key customers and exploring new market opportunities. Your role will involve developing and executing strategic plans to expand profitable sales of batteries, chargers, motors, and controllers within Western Europe. In this position, you will focus on supporting growth in both established markets (like construction and agriculture) and high-growth sectors (such as robotics and rail). A critical aspect of the role is engaging in technical discussions and providing expert guidance on electrification solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Market Expansion: Identify and recruit new OEMs and technology partners to drive battery sales. Sales Support: Collaborate with the engine sales team to introduce batteries to existing customers. Technical Consultation: Offer expert advice on battery selection and installation for diverse applications. Strategic Growth: Develop and implement strategies that drive both sales and gross margin growth. Market Intelligence: Stay informed on market and competitor trends to inform strategic decisions. Sales Plans & Execution: Create and present tailored sales and marketing programs to secure new business. Collaboration: Work closely with sales and marketing teams to support company sales initiatives. Expense Management: Control selling costs through effective budget management. Leadership: Mentor and guide other team members in securing new business when necessary. Travel: Be prepared to travel up to 50% within the region.Profile
Critical Experience: At least 5 years in business development and sales, ideally with a technical sales background in electrification. Proven track record of developing business plans and securing new business opportunities. Competencies & Skills: Strong analytical skills to interpret sales trends and translate them into actionable strategies. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong organizational abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Demonstrated negotiating skills and the ability to influence key stakeholders. Ability to work independently and manage competing demands. Fluent in English and German.
