About the Role
Handle and manage reviews, appeals, complaints and risk assessment portfolio, specifically big premium and high net worth cases. Maintain underwriting qualities and provide premier level service and support to relevant distribution channels. Provide customer friendly decision. Contribute on technical training to member and to manage assigned portfolio efficiently.Roles and Responsibilities:
To review and underwrite complicated/jumbo cases and prestige medical cases, achieving a high capture rate.To evaluate and countersign cases recommended by junior underwriters, making prudent, business-focused decisions effectively and timely.To conduct technical underwriting audits and lead projects, imparting technical knowledge for business improvement.To manage assigned portfolio and ensure turnaround time and service efficiency.To provide coaching to underwriters on case management, review and assess underwriting qualities, and conduct training for the underwriting team.To communicate and coordinate effectively with various stakeholders to support business growth.To conduct nationwide underwriting workshops/clinics for the agency.To provide solutions and guide agents on complex cases or larger sum assured cases.To be involved in compliance screening tasks, ensuring continuous adherence to regulations and procedures set for the New Business Underwriting Department.To provide top-priority service to all complaint cases.To perform other responsibilities and duties as assigned by supervisors/HOD to meet operational and other requirements.Minimum Requirements:
Possess a tertiary qualification, preferably in Medical Science or equivalent.Preferably have at least 8 years of working experience in the Life Insurance Industry, specifically in medical and financial underwriting, and the legal aspects of life insurance.Strong interpersonal and delegation skills.Able to share ideas, suggestions, or guidelines clearly with the team.Able to build good relationships and trust at all levels.Have the right attitude and ability to produce high-quality work under pressure.Build a career with us as we help our customers and the community live Healthier, Longer, Better Lives.
