Purpose:

The New Home Design Coordinator assists and manages customers by providing interior design and sales services, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and customer excellence which meet and exceed customer satisfaction goals, financial results, and employee satisfaction. 

To be service oriented and provide support functions for the Director or Design Centers and Design and Sales Teams while maintaining Minto’s highest standards of customer excellence and ensuring policies and procedures are upheld.

In this role, you will:

Introduce purchasers to Design Center, including services offered, design process and objectives. Open, inspect and close Design Center daily Ensure appearance and cleanliness of Design Center at all times Maintain notes and files throughout the design process to ensure consistent service delivery. Propose design and finishing solutions to achieve a purchaser’s objectives, including lifestyle needs assessment and budget while acting as a purchaser’s advisor  Maximize revenue & profit potential while respecting a purchaser’s entitlement to service excellence regardless of their ability or choice to purchase optional upgrades. Coordinate the scheduling of purchaser appointments and the selection of interior fixtures, fittings and finishes within the schedule determined by Minto.  Encourage incremental progress toward the completion of a purchaser’s selections to avoid customer perception of pressure to finalize while maintaining the construction schedule within cut-off dates. Present and finalize complete selections once all materials and pricing have been obtained. Finalize all necessary documentation at time of sign-off and secure payments as required. Liaise with trades and construction teams about production issues, problems, discontinued products, errors and find solutions that may or may not involve the purchaser.  Be able to professionally communicate over the telephone, email and in person with internal/external customers, staff and vendors. Select interior finishes with Sales for unsold inventory homes prior to cut-off dates. Complete onsite inspections when required  Assist with training & development of NHSA’s and NHDC’s. Flexibility with schedule for customers and/or company needs. Promote and respect the Minto brand and the company’s mission, values, and code of conduct. Other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, as requested by management.
