Working as part of a cross functional team, you deliver the RDQ activities required to complete new product development, portfolio maintenance and/or productivity projects with an emphasis on meeting the desired consumer experience. 

 

How you will contribute: 
 

With the support and guidance of a manager, you will organize and execute projects in line with RDQ, marketing and manufacturing requirements, effectively communicating status and risks. You will plan and conduct pilot plant and factory trials in accordance with good manufacturing practice and HACCP requirements and development activities (e.g. product shelf-life testing, designing for quality, consumer test preparation etc.). You will also write technical reports that will require the analysis and interpretation of results and that lead to conclusions and recommendations and create and maintain accurate consumer-led specifications. 
 

Main Responsibilities: 

Support and deliver NPD activities in accordance with the agreed site master Marketing and New Product development strategy. 

Continuous improvement of current product portfolios and develop strategies to improve product attributes including organoleptic delivery, BOM costs and the reduction of operational variation. 

Conduct a gap analysis of current Gourmet Foods NPD process with that of Mondelez requirements. Identify key non-conformances and make recommendations to address non conforming issues. 

Develop & recommend a project plan to address agreed nonconformances and establish protocols that address Mondelez requirements and leverage the current Gourmet Foods NPD process (ensure agile ways of working). 

Ensure integration plan is aligned with all key stakeholders & lead implementation. 

Using the current existing production capabilities, identify new product opportunities to complement and extend current product portfolios. 

Project manage new product development activities. This includes the product requirements, identifying equipment requirements, production trials and the final development of documentation and hand over to production.   

Providing coaching and mentoring of other team members to ensure technical excellence and consumer-centric focus delivered with all development work. This role is a conduit from formulation to process. The operation is a 24hr 5 day week business currently with the strong likelihood of evolving to 7 day a week operation.

Food science, science, or engineering ideally in a fast-moving consumer goods market 

Working on teams and independently with the guidance of a manager 

Prioritizing and managing activities

Applying fundamental technical understanding to interpret and analyze data to reach clear conclusions. 

Communicating effectively verbally and in writing, including technical writing 

Putting the consumer at the heart of development activities 
 

More about the role: 

This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 3 days working from site. 

The role is based in Ringwood with bit of travel to our Gourmet Food site in Dandenong South.
