The Siemens Certified Education & Talent Academy (SCETA) program combines theory and practice in a work-integrated learning program (WILP) geared towards technical and professional students. It offers students a wide array of technical, interpersonal, and business acumen training and places them in roles within various industry units within Siemens Canada.
The SCETA program starts with a 3-week paid orientation, and students complete two summer work terms beginning in May 2025. Once their SCETA terms are complete, proficient students may be hired full-time with Siemens.

What will you do?
The New Product Introduction (NPI) Intern will oversee multiple development and legacy maintenance projects at our Concord, ON location. Projects will vary in size and scope, requiring flexibility and tailored project management solutions. This role will include direct interaction with senior management, technical teams and subject matter experts throughout the organization.
Assures successful completion of assigned projects by constant direct management and oversight from beginning to end. Serves as the interface between R&D, Manufacturing, procurement, partnering suppliers, and other key functional groups to develop, generate, and execute project plans to transition products to production. Manage NPI builds plan and schedule and coordinate material, assemblies and product requirements with all involved parties, including Marketing, R&D, Production Engineering, Material, Procurement and ContractManufacturing.
Contributes to the continuous improvement of business processes related to project management and new product development.Analyzes project trade-offs and requests changes in scope, schedule and resources when needed. Communicates effectively to management, as required, to provide a clear understanding of project status, risks, and decisions. Experience with new product launches in high-mix, low-volume product lines Travel to domestic and international locations to support project objectives as required.What will you need to succeed?
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering. Desire to obtain your PMP certification Ability to handle multiple projects/suppliers/priorities with minimum supervision under challenging conditions. Strong oral, written, and presentation skills. Effective facilitator, coach and trainer. Resolve conflicts caused by competing priorities/metrics between various projects and suppliers to reach acceptable levels of team consensus while maintaining project schedules.Demonstrated leadership ability, including managing and delegating appropriate tasks to technical and non-technical support staff.About us.
