Job Description

The quality engineer will help develop and implement robust preventive quality plans to build quality into product design and processes. This position also has interactions with internal and external customer. You will work onsite from our Mequon, WI facility. You will report to the Team Lead, Post Release Quality.

Your Responsibilities:Read and interpret technical product documentationProvides design input, proposes risk mitigation actions, and fit for use to product development teamsHelps develop and implements New Product Introduction (NPI) quality planning to build quality into the design and processHelps perform risk assessment and implements early preventive mitigation plansAnalytical and problem-solving competency to drive performance resultsUses dashboards and metrics to drive on-going continuous improvementLeads Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and ensures corrective and preventive action planning, addresses true and systemic root cause, and eliminates repeatsApplies quality design methodologies, tools and techniques (e.g. Design for Six Sigma, Design for Reliability, Failure Mode Effect Analysis, etc.) incrementally and throughout product developmentBalances priorities and communicates well to team, stakeholders and managementMaintains accountability for high quality performance throughout product lifecyclePresents and communicates quality readouts up to the manager levelsWorks with a global team supporting off hour meetings as requiredManages varying priorities and collaborates across multiple KSHs and disciplines, including internal and external customersParticipate and support key employee initiatives including the employee engagement survey, culture of inclusion initiatives and ethics

The Essentials - You Will Have:Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalentLegal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.Ability to travel 15% of the time

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:2+ year's of experience in Electrical EngineeringStrong analytical and problem-solving skills to drive performance resultsStrong experience in QA tools and methodologiesProficiency in Microsoft applications (Primarily Excel and PowerPoint, Power BI)Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning system, preferably SAP.Certification in LEAN, Six SIGMA tools and methodologies (Green Belt), CQE, AQEProvide key inputs into HW, SW/FW, and product requirements with basic understanding of product, application and system levelBasic understanding of the environment inclusive of products and infrastructure that must work together to achieve the desired customer outcome
