General Description:
Reporting to the Head of Marketing
New Product Planning will assess the commercial viability of the portfolio of assets for patient populations in Japan and help to construct an optimal portfolio for the Japan business.
Responsibility:
Make a commercial evaluation to the pipeline of products in early/late development or licensing-in candidate products, including new modality
Prepare a basic commercial strategy of pipeline of product, aligning with relevant department including medical, commercial, pricing, regulatory affairs, and global teams
Develop Japan Long Range Plan (PL) including 5-10 years sales forecast, OPEX and HCs
Work as hub of all functions relating to “new product evaluation and planning”.
To re-align the company portfolio to the company strategy by assessing the commercial value of projects in terms of: Epidemiology, medical, competitive analysis, determining if unmet medical needs/opportunities exist, development plan, pricing, regulations, IP, safety management, etc.) to make the company portfolios better fit to the company strategy
Map out the key opinion leaders for pipeline product in order to maximize business in the project, aligning with the relevant functions as needed.
Create a business case as an aggregated study or deliverable of the assessment
Qualification Required:
Education Required:
Bachelor’s Degree
NPP or Marketing experience
8-10 years marketing lead or NPP with hematology/oncology experience(preferred)
Qualifications:
This position requires a B.A. / B.S. with previous pharmaceutical
The ideal candidate should have 8-10 years of experience in pharmaceutical NPP or as Marketing Lead with significant Hematology & Oncology experience
Experience in specialty NPP or Marketing, with an understanding of Clinical Development strategy/plan, Japanese regulation (PMDA/MHLW), and commercial strategy/plan
Broad cross-functional experience in other roles, such as marketing, sales, clinical development, medical, regulatory.
Ability to develop P&L including sales forecast and OPEX/HC plan
Depth understanding of pharmaceutical market with hematology/oncology knowledge
Ability to have strategic problem resolving skill
Must be results oriented with a strategic focus on net profit
Ability to actively engage in developing new business.
Must demonstrate resilience in the face of challenges.
Dedicated to making customer service a priority.
Must have a self-starting, self-managing independent work style.
Adept in build trusted advisor relationships.
Computer Skills: Highly skilled in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Other Qualifications: Expertise in conducting Crucial Conversations and providing the Hematology Sales Representatives with the tools for talking when stakes are high, emotions run strong, and opinions vary.
