Job Description: New Product Planning Manager- Japan

Position Overview:

This role is designed to enhance our ability to bring innovative organic and inorganic products to market effectively while leveraging the unique strengths of Japan.

NPP role is critical for our success in navigating the complexities of product planning. This position will facilitate effective collaboration and alignment, ensuring that we leverage the strengths to bring innovative products to market efficiently in collaborations with stakeholders such as global PST, R&D, Regulatory affairs, MAP and medical effectively.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced New Product Planning Manager to join MBJ. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial assessment, overseeing the planning and strategy for products under development, ensuring alignment with scientific advancements and market needs.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Implement financial assessment of new products under development and candidate assets for allianceAnalyze & understand disease, patient funnel, patient journey, unmet medical needs, competitiveness and market dynamics leading market research and data analyticsSupport to develop strategic product development plans, focusing on pipeline products, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.Develop high level launch strategy for expected near-term launch (1.5-2 years before launch) productCooperate with relevant departments, R&D, Regulatory affairs, Medical affairs, MAP, BD, BU and BTS and global related functions to develop future business maximization plan Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and scientific advancements to inform product planning and strategySupport for building high impact operating and new go to market model Develop future Japan Franchise strategy based on global franchise strategy

 

Required skills and Qualifications:

BS/BA required, MBA helpful, but not required.Approx. 8+ years industry and 5+ years Product Management experience in Pharmaceutical company in Japan required.Marketing experience in Oncology or Specialty Care is preferred. Experience in new product launch is MUST. (pre/post launches)Great communication and cross functional collaboration skillsAbility to manage multiple, complex projects in parallelHigh ethical standards and personal integrityCreative thinking, horizontal thinking, and logical thinkingWritten and verbal communication skills in English
