Fox TV StationsFOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. We're currently seeking an experienced Anchor/Reporter with exceptional editorial and digital skills to spearhead our weekend morning team and report during the week. Duties and Responsibilities:
Successful anchor/reporters are dynamic individuals who are curious about the community and world around them, as well as creative in sourcing, developing and delivering engaging stories for our broadcast, streaming and digital platforms. Top performers at KTVU are competitive in monitoring other sources and emerging platforms for news, challenging themselves to be different and working to continually elevate KTVU coverage. This position requires a strong ability to convey information to viewers in a conversational manner, as well as the spirit to collaborate with others in creating content for multiple platforms.
Serve as an on-air presenter of news stories, interviews, and other content for all TV, streaming, digital platforms in a manner that is clear, engaging, and meaningful to news consumers.Ability to report on breaking news and cover live news events unscripted and with little assistance from production crews, while capturing the veracity of the moment.Present content live conversationally and with confidence and comfort on various platforms.Take charge of coordinating and producing compelling interview segments, ensuring content is informative and resonates with our diverse audience.Actively pitch innovative story and segment ideas that reflect the multifaceted nature of the San Francisco Bay Area and passionately hunt for exclusive stories and scoops.Engage with the community, building a network of sources that empowers our station to be the first to report on events, issues, and trends that matter to our viewers.Demonstrate an exceptional capacity for researching, reporting, and writing broadcast and digital print news copy on deadline, while adhering to station and professional standards for precision and clarity.Independently create unique and compelling content for a variety of digital platforms, including streaming channels, social media, Connected TV apps, and other digital media.A comprehensive understanding of the digital news audience and the stories that resonate best with readers on KTVU’s various online platforms.Fluency in various social media platforms’ trends, styles and language in order to authentically engage with audiences on each platform.Ability to travel and report from the field as required.Other duties assigned as deemed appropriate and necessary.A deep connection to the San Francisco Bay Area is highly favorable—whether you grew up, attended school, or have previously worked in the region, we value your intrinsic understanding of our community and its stories.
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma is required; 4-year College degree is preferred. Candidate should have 3 to 5 years’ experience with fast-paced television productions. Excellent verbal and written communication and leadership skills are required.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $150,000.00-180,000.00 annually for high cost labour markets such as but not limited to New York City and Los Angeles, $125,000.00-150,000.00 annually for all other US locations. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
