Job Summary/Description:

We need a full-time Anchor/Reporter for our Connected TV (CTV) desk at First Alert 4, (aka KMOV-TV). Are you smart and energetic? Able to think on your feet and ad-lib on camera with breaking news at a moment's notice? Not afraid to talk LIVE on camera to literally tens of thousands of people on a weekly basis?  Do comprehensive interviews with local and state leaders?  Have the technical know-how to punch up live pictures, audio, and graphics that will stream LIVE on mobile devices and our website?  If you can give a YES answer to all these questions, then we have a great opportunity for you at the #1 news gathering operation in Missouri and Southern Illinois.  You'll have the opportunity to become one of the most recognized faces and voices in the St. Louis media market.

This position requires an individual capable of doing it all. You'll have access to the best equipment in the market -- streaming LIVE from our brand new multi-million dollar state-of-the-art broadcasting and digital facility in the suburbs of St. Louis.  As a CTV Anchor/Reporter, you will be reporting live on camera and conducting interviews. You must be technically savvy, organized, energetic, and a team player.  Must be a skilled communicator who can connect with a diverse audience.  In this role, you'll assimilate information quickly and be able to compile and summarize that information into a clear, concise, and understandable presentation. Excellent knowledge of the St. Louis market and its people, history, and institutions, are extremely helpful.

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Journalism or Communications or a related field
- Minimum two years experience as a television or digital news reporter/anchor for a commercial/public television station in a mid to large market
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment requiring strict deadlines and a focus on team orientation
- Skilled communicator, capable of speaking to a diverse audience and conveying messages effectively
- Knows how to blend words and video into informative and interesting live-streaming
- Must be flexible with scheduling due to the ever-changing nature of the news cycle
