KRQE Media Group in Albuquerque is looking for a News Producer to join our energetic and fast-paced newsroom. In this role, you’ll take the lead in shaping our overnight newscasts — from crafting story flow and writing engaging teases to timing live broadcasts and coordinating with the entire news team. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player who thrives under deadline pressure, brings strong organizational skills, and has a keen eye for detail. + Produces newscasts for broadcast across all platforms + Writes and orders news stories + Approves scripts + Balances news and feature content to create compelling broadcasts + Edits video + Writes stories for the website and other eMedia platforms + Interacts with viewers and users on social media sites + Performs other duties as assigned Requirements & Skills : + Journalism degree, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience + Fluency in English + Excellent communication skills, both oral and written + Minimum two years’ experience in news operations + Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment + Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously + Must be flexible to work the overnight shift, weekends, and holidays as needed ​​ If you’re passionate about producing compelling newscasts and want to grow with an experienced, innovative team — we’d love to hear from you!
